Peanut Butter | Mindful Cooking

Updated: Jan 6, 2022

In the last year, I have been steering away from the zero waste movement and focusing more on a holistic lifestyle with less plastic and waste but not restricting myself to certain things. By taking the tag off, I am not shaming myself for failing as a zero waster.

One thing I took away from the zero waste movement is mindful cooking. I truly believe we need to step away from convenience and learn a few tricks to be more mindful when it comes to our health and wellbeing. Making basic recipes can be a huge start to creating a foundation for your future cooking skills take my peanut butter recipe from my ebook, This can be put into so many recipes as well as just eating it on toast as a snack. There are many more recipes to check out in the ebook to get your mindful cooking started and not only in the kitchen. if you want to take a gander and purchase this rad ebook (shameless plug) you can click here.

But I thought I would share this super easy recipe because It can be the biggest staple in your kitchen if you are like me and love PB. You will need a high powered blender for this recipe. You will need: 1/2 tsp salt (optional) 2 cups of roasted peanuts 1/4 cup peanut oil (optional for runny PB) How to make: Put all ingredients into a blender and blitz until smooth. If it all spreads to the side stop the blender take a spatula and push it back down to the blades (you may need to do this a few times until the oil breaks through the dry nuts) I make this probably once a month which is why I enjoy making it. Until next time xo
